Order of Capuchin Friars Minor
Custody of Malawi
Province of Tanzania
On 16th October 2025, our brothers will make their perpetual profession, committing themselves for life to the Capuchin Franciscan way of simplicity, fraternity, and service; and on the following day, 17th October 2025, they will be ordained deacons, embracing the ministry of the Word, the altar, and charity in the Church.
The Capuchin Custody of Malawi serves the mission of education through primary and secondary schools, offering knowledge enlightened by the Catholic faith and imbued with the Franciscan spirit.
Through our health centres, the Capuchin custody of Malawi cares for the wellbeing of local communities, bringing medical help, comfort, and the Franciscan spirit of compassion to all who are in need.
Since the arrival of the first Capuchin missionaries in Malawi, our brothers have served alongside the local Church in many ways.
